    1. [SW_VA] NC SCC Disallowed Claims 1878 & 1879
    2. I have uploaded the Digest of Disallowed Claims for NC for the years 1878 & 1879. Counties referenced are: Alexander (7), Brunswick (6), Burke (7), Caldwell (3), Camden (1), Carteret (9), Catawba (3), Chatham (9), Cherokee (7), Craven (3), Cumberland (13), Currituck (5), Dare (1), Davidson (1), Davie (3), Duplin (1), Forsyth (8), Franklin (4), Gaston (2), Gates (10), Greene (3), Guilford (3), Harnett (7), Haywood (2), Henderson (7), Hertford (6), Hyde (3), Jones (2), Lenoir (3), Lincoln (5), Macon (1), Madison (6), Martin (1), McDowell (4), Mitchell (3), New Hanover (9), Northampton (1), Onslow (1), Orange (13), Pasquotank (16), Perquimons (4), Person (3), Richmond (12), Robeson (2), Rockingham (1), Rowan (1), Rutherford (2), Sampson (5), Stokes (3), Surry (2), Tyrrell (1), Wake (23), Walker [sic]* (1), Watauga (3), Wayne (6), Wilson (1), Yadkin (8). As far as the Walker county reference, based upon the town given, Elkville, I think they are talking about Wilkes county but that is just a guess. The surname is DULA. I have downsized the images 5% in order to reduce scrolling for people with 15 inch monitors. I understand that there still is scrolling required, just not as severe. Eventually I will go back to the preceding images and downsize those about 10% which should help the 15 inch people immensely. However, that will come after scanning the remainder of the 1872 images for the Confederate States...yes, I copied them this past Wednesday. No time table on completion, maybe I can get significant work done this coming Wednesday night / Thursday morning as I have to be on a conference call all night and morning for a cutover. The URL is (copy and paste text within the bracket) [http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~familyinformation/] The NC Index is listed under the NEW heading. Any comments, suggestions, or problems send them to me directly rather than clogging up the mail lists. Also, as usual, my permission in advance to forward this to any interested parties. Best of wishes, Billy
