I have the book "The Life of Daniel Boone" by Lyman Draper, LL.D, edited by Ted Franklin Belue. It is a marvelous book, but Draper's story itself is really good reading. He died in 1891, but wrote many manuscripts that are read by researchers and historians. This book came out last year. I was at a Boone Reunion last June in KY adn met Ted Belue. He has written other books: "The long Hunt: Death of the Buffalo East of the Mississippi" and "A Sketch in the Life and Character of Daniel Boone".
