    3. I have been reading all the old remedies, and I remember my mother giving me the sugar dissolved in turpentine for pin worms, although I don't know if she ever saw any. It clearly states on the Vicks vaporub, "not for internal use", but she used to put into my mouth. she always rubbed Vicks on my chest and covered my chest with a warm soft flannel cloth, and it did help me sleep. I always did that for my son when he was little. She would gather up certain plants walking across the ridge to my grandfather's house and when she got home, she would make a certain kind of "kidney tea". Tasted horrible. I still use vinegar for sunburns. When I think what my mother put in my mouth and down my throat in the name of health, I'm surprised I'm here to talk about it.
