my mothers best friend was this precious little Kentucky women, who had ol remedies for most things. When my daughter was young, she had horrible nose bleeds alot, the doctor wanted to do surgery to burn the small vessels in her nose. Moms friend, Velma Gibson tied a fishing sinker (made from lead) to a string, and had my daughter wear it like a necklace. She wore this for almost a month.
