Eddie & All, My stories are all original, never published but soon to be, I hope. My stories are ususally written about "wild & crazy" things my father or others have related to me through the years.. They are usually believeable and humorous, (I hope) but some delve into the "supernatural", spirits, witches, ghosts etc.. and the listener is left to believe or not! I have acquired the basis for some stories while researching my family lines, especially those in the mountains of N.C.. I don't tell fairytales or outrageous lies.. Many of mine are told as first person stories which audiences can relate to and picture mentally as I tell them.. I also play musical instruments and sing original songs such as "Biscuit Bakin' Baby From Bristol Tennessee" "The Day the Ceiling Fan Fell in Sunday Dinner" and several others.. I perform at theaters, festivals, retirement homes, dinners and other functions.. I entertained for the Boone Society Reunion in Winston Salem, N.C. this spring... AND.. I must say that my Rates are Very Reasonable...Come and See & Hear Me!! I didn't mean for this to turn into a commercial, but I couldn't resist! Thanks for your interest! G. Thank you to all those who helped me with my query for the 1860 census. It appears there was more there than I had known about. I appreciate y'all going the extra step for me. Again, Thank You! Maria
