He was born 20 Jan 1763 in Louisa Co. according to the records in Smyth Co.. He died 25 Apr 1854 and was 91 yrs. 5 mos. and 3 days old. Now, according to "Family Search", there was a Nathaniel harris born to William and Elizabeth Harris b. abt. 1762 In Hanover which is the Parent county of Louisa. Also, "Douglas Register" shows a Will Harris and Elizabeth Cradock as being married 28 Aug 1754. I have no information about Craddock or Craddock. Nathaniel Married Martha Byars/Byers May 27 or 29. 1788 according to Douglas. they had a daughter named Polly (Mary) b. 1 Apr 1788. This is from Douglas, also. I have some Deed info. from Louisa co. MOST of my information is from Smyth county and Washington (parent County of Smyth) Co. I have Nathaniel and Martha's children and grandchildren and down from there. I have been contacted by several cousins and have brought them up to the "Brickwall' of Nathaniel. We all are pounding away! Since there were so many Harrises in Louisa, Hanover, and Goochland and some neighboring counties it would seem that Nathaniel belongs to the rest of the families there. One theory has him from the Thomas and Sarah Offut Harris family. They had a Nathaniel and a Nathan. MY Nathaniel had sons named both Nathaniel and Nathan. I am considering that the faimilies that used both names are possibly related. Noel, I am so sorry that you were upset and hurt by all that has happened. Your information has been such a help to so many. I am hoping that when I(we) can disassemble our brick wall that we will find that we come from this gorup of Virginia Harrises. Though it is frutrating keep in mind that you have helped and are helping many people. i have a binder that holds the p/o of all the work you have sent out. I only hope that it will be of great value when I fing who Nathaniel belongs to. God Bless You and Yours. Cheers, Wilma Kelly [email protected] --part1_bb.6ac1ea8.26e14454_boundary--
