Becky, this was copied from Feb. 27, 1991 RICHLANDS NEWS PRESS. The entire edition of the progress section of the paper is about the communities in Tazewell County. FALLS MILLS - Not far from Pocahonta and at the mouth of the valley known as Mud Fork is Falls Mills. The town's name is derived from a natural dam across Bluestone river where water flows from the rocks. At some time a mill was built on the falls and it still stands.
