    3. List, I give up on Eddie's definition of muslin, but I believe the stitching referred to was called smocking. And, what in the world are hipins? That's a new one to me. But it makes me think of step-ins. Anyone know what they are? Once when I was a teen-aged clerk in a dept. store an old fellow asked me for step-ins. I thought of mules, the step-in type houseslippers, and took him there. He turned very red and muttered that his wife needed drawers! Sue McN. > Well, I guess I am wrong.
