Re the post on SW_VA-L (Digest) for LINDER surname. I descend from JONATHAN and NANCY (PATON) BRIDGES, and they had a dau. ELIZABETH BRIDGES, b. 1819, Allen Co., KY, who married 14 Sep. 1836, Martin Co., IN, GEORGE LINDER. Do you possibly have any data on this GEORGE LINDER. I think he probably went from KY to IN - the Bridges went north in 1829. My Bridges line was of Native American descent (possibly Cherokee) from South Carolina to KY about 1805-6, first settling in Barren Co., KY, in the area that became part of Allen Co., KY.
