Eddie, The only thought I have on the quantity of money is - could at least a portion of it been owed later instead of all at the time of purchase. I have run into that in PA in that time period. What I don't recall seeing in PA deeds was a measure being made by the "pole". Any idea how many feet in a pole? Very interesting deed.
