Unfortunately, I haven't seen the book. A Crabtree genealogy (on Heritage Quest) lists (the Rev. R. N.) Price's "History of Holston Methodism" and cites from it a story of how Job Crabtree was converted to religion and became a minister. Another genealogy (Maclin, Clark, Cocke, Carter, etc.) quotes from Price's history an accounting of the career of te Rev. David Wendell Carter II. Also quotes from the 5th volume of the history in praise of the Hon. Nathaniel Greene Taylor. The history itself is not on Heritage Quest. :-( --- "Edgar A.
