Also, lunch on Sunday before departing. More on this later. AIRPORTS IN AND AROUND WILLOW SPRINGS, MO. Willow Springs has a small airport, single engine planes only. West Plains & Mtn. View both have airports which will accommodate small jets. The closest commercial flights are at either Rolla National [Commuter flights only] or Springfield-Branson Regional [Delta/United/TWA and Ozark] It is a fairly small airport with easy access in and out. Telephone 417-257-1530 Unless you like small planes it is suggested you fly to Springfield and rent a car. The drive is all freeway to Willow Springs. A quick look at my Missouri map indicates two possibilities. At Pomona. Mo., about 11 miles south of Willow Springs on route 63---the map indicates an airport with runway[s] at least 4500 feet long. At Mountain View, Mo., about 14 miles east of Willow Springs on route 60---the map indicates an airport with runway[s] at least 4500 feet long. For commercial service, I suspect the closest airport to be Springfield, Mo.- about 70 miles west on route 60 I WENT ON THE NET & ASKED FOR INFORMATION ON AIRPORTS IN & AROUND WILLOW SPRINGS.
