Just Sharing: Obituaries for February 18, 1998 Savannah Moring News James C. Sutton James Cecil Sutton, 76, died Feb. 17 at home. He was born in White County and lived in Savannah since 1939. He was a partner with Ansley and Sutton Construction Co. for 28 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Whitefield United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, Solomon's Lodge No. 1, F&AM, Alee Shrine Temple and served on the Board of Directors of American General Contractors. He was a century member of the Boy Scouts of America Coastal Empire Council No. 99. He resided in Appling County the past 10 years. SURVIVORS: his wife, Dorothy F. Sutton of Savannah; a son, J. Stewart Sutton of Savannah; a daughter, Gwen Sutton Young of Greenville, S.C.; and five grandchildren, Stewart A. Sutton of Savannah, Colleen McKenzie Sutton and Andrew C. Sutton of Baton Rouge, La., Clayton D. Young and Olivia Sutton Young of Greenville. VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
