Jesse married about 1875 to Lucinda Rathbone,born 3/10/1852,died 6/3/1928 in Haywood County,N.C. Jesse was 16 years old and Lucinda was 22 when they married. Jesse's parents were Levi Sutton and Sarah"Sallie" McGaha. Jesse and Lucinda are buried at Fines Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Haywood County, N.C. Childreen of Jesse and Lucinda (1) Joseph Sutton born 1876 in Haywood County,N.C. died in Tellico Plains, Tn. (2) James Ervin Sutton born 1/23/1877,died 3/19/1972 in Haywood County,N.C. (3)Levi Sutton born 1878,died abt.1895 in Haywood County, N.C. (4)Rachel L. Sutton born March 1880,died 6/28/1951 in Haywood County,N.C. (5) Charlie Sutton born 12/18/1883,in Haywood County,N.C. died 3/21/1968 (6) Margaret"Maggie"Sutton born May 1887 died 6/26/1933 in Haywood County,N.C.
