Researching John R. Sutton. I believe he is my ggggrandfather. He was an ensign in the Revolutionary War from SC. From the information I can find, he died in White County, GA. In his will of 1876, he names my gggrandfather, Jeremiah, as one of his administrators. There was also a brother, Jesse Sutton. Jeremiah Sutton lived in Harris County, GA. He was born in SC in 1797 and married Mary Ann Rickenbacker, also from SC. I know all about her ancestry. My BIG question is: Who exactly was Jeremiah's father? Was it John R. Sutton? If so, who was John R. Sutton's father? That is my broken link. Any information will be appreciated very much.
