Jann, William Sutton, first settler of NJ was from MA. Many have linked him to George and Sarah (nee Tilden) Sutton of Situate who came from England ca 1636. While the est. birth date for William (ca 1641) fits into the line of children for George and Sarah, no firm information has linked him to those parents. While I expect it's probable I tend to hold off making the connection. William was married to Damaris Bishop in Easton, MA (11 jul 1666) and relocated to Piscataway, NJ before 1674.
