Published in the Council Bluffs, IA - Nonpareil 17 July 2004 John W. Sutton Jr., 50, of Council Bluffs died July 15 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1953, in Omaha to John W. and Juanita (Bryant) Sutton Sr. He was a 1971 graduate of Omaha Central High School. He was a printer at Bingo King for three years, retiring because of a disability in 1997. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda; daughter, Toccara, of Council Bluffs; sons, Christopher of Council Bluffs and Aaron of Denver; three grandchildren; mother, Juanita of Omaha; father, John Sutton Sr., of Houston; stepfather, Glenn L. Wilson of Omaha; sister, Karen Gatlin and husband, Earl, of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, Moses Sutton and wife, Joann of Tampa, Fla., and Glenn Sutton and wife, Karen, of Charlotte, N.C.; nieces; nephews and cousins. Open visitation will be Sunday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse J. Isom officiating.
