My ancestor William Sutton died in 1799. He was married to Elizabeth Jackson. His father was Moses Sutton who apparently was married more than once and he had brothers named John, Thomas, Richard, and James. Moses, I believe to be the son of a Lazarus Sutton whose wife was Elizabeth. Moses last wife was a Caty Pittman. I have found info on Caty Pittman and a John Sutton after Moses death in 1796. The research of others tie this Moses to Richard Sutton who died in Northumberland Va in 1702. Does any of this seem to tie to your research.
