Published in the Champaign, IL - News-Gazette 7/13/04 Mary Sutton SIDELL -- Mary H. Sutton, 87, of Indianola, formerly of Sidell, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday (July 12, 2004) at home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sidell Pentecostal Church, Sidell. The Rev. Tim Pearman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Joines Funeral Home, 108 N. Gray St., Sidell, is handling arrangements. Mrs. Sutton was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Louisville, Ky., a daughter of Alfonzo and Sarah Wright Murray. She married Liston Sutton on Jan. 30, 1938. He died in 1978. Survivors include four sons, Liston Sutton Jr., Don Sutton and Albert Sutton, all of Paxton, and Larry Sutton of Buckley; four daughters, Margery Bradford of Bedford, Ind., Ann Newell and Irene Miller, both of Danville, and Julie Brown of Indianola; two brothers, Thomas Murray of Greensburg, Ky., and Charles Murray of Louisville; two sisters, June Sidebottom of Greensburg, Ky., and Nettie Kemp of Louisville; 28 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, a great-grandson, a sister and four brothers. Mrs. Sutton was a member of Sidell Pentecostal Assembly Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
