Published in the Asheville, NC - Citizen-Times July 24, 2004 Sylva - Dorothy Reed Sutton, 78, of Clarence Hall Road, Sylva, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 22, 2004, at her residence. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Sutton was the wife of the late Robert L. Sutton and a member of Wesleyanna Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Garland T. and Carma Tatham Reed. Survivors include her brother, Robert L. Reed of Roxboro; two sisters, Edith R. Seay and Lucille R. Cagle, both of Sylva; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wesleyanna Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Wesleyanna Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home, Sylva, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
