Charles Irvin Sutton - You wrote that your Great-grandfather was a John Sutton from Mississippi. I am trying to trace a John H. Sutton, born July 16, 1816, my GG Grandfather, back to his parents (probably from Mississippi). John H. was twice married; he settlled in Avoyelles Parish, LA where he raised nine children: Eliska, John, Addie, Kate, Anna, William D., Emma, Lizzie and Stella, born between 1851 and 1870. Do you have any information about two sons, John and Thomas, of Thomas and Phebe Humphrey Sutton of Jefferson County, MS, who may have moved to Louisiana in the 1840's? Barbara Leder

Looking for ancestry of Thomas SUTTON b. 1780/1790 in Virginia(?). Migrated to KY where he married Nancy MITCHELL. Served in war of 1812. Died in Allen Co. KY in 1844. Any help would be appreciated. Carol
