I need help in solving a DNA puzzle. I can trace my lineage to a James Sutton born about 1747 in NC, lived in GA and perhaps SC and died 1835 in TN. I had my DNA tested and it came back with a very surprising result. I do not match any other Sutton’s that have been tested, except my brother, and belong to Haplogroup E3b which is believed to have evolved in the Middle East. It expanded into the Mediterranean during the Pleistocene Neolithic expansion. It is currently distributed around the Mediterranean, southern Europe, and in north and east Africa. I am looking for other Sutton descendants willing to be tested to see if we can solve this puzzle. We have established a new Sutton DNA Group for this purpose. Joni Hudson is the administrator. The cost for a 12 marker test is $99. Just go to: _http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=Z47413&special=true_ (http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=Z47413&special=true) First, click on the website and look around. Read the background and click on Y Results to see how they will be displayed. Do you think your Suttons came from the Middle East? If not, find a male Sutton relative and get him to take the test. Thank you very much! Les Sutton
