    3. Published in the Cincinnati, OH -Enquirer and Post 10/21/2004 SUTTON John L., 75 of Aurora, Indiana died October 19 at his home. Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, IN, 2 P.M. (Fast time) Friday, visitation 5:30-8 P.M. Thursday at Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora, IN. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn C. Sutton; daughter Dr. Lyn Ranta (Bruce), Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter Anne Tatem (Tom), Kensington, Maryland; son, Jack Sutton (Beth), Greendale, Indiana; daughter Sue Sutton and her husband Jonathan Bricker, Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren; Kelsey, Zachary and Matthew Ranta; John Francis, Kathleen and Alexander Tatem; Hannah, Abby and Haley Sutton. Other survivors include brothers Dr. Harley H. Sutton, DVM of Georgetown, Kentucky and Carroll T. Sutton retired teacher of Aurora, Indiana. After graduating from Wabash College in 1950, John served in the US Air Force for four years and then worked in his family's hatchery business. He was elected to two terms as Dearborn Count Treasurer (1965-1972), and later was in private practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the firm of Sutton, Strzynski and York, Aurora, Indiana. John was very active in the community. He was elected to the South Dearborn School Board, serving as president for two years, and was in the Dearborn County Toastmasters Club, Aurora Lions Club, Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce, Dearborn County Park Board, and Riverview Cemetery Board of Managers and the Aurora Library Board. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora. After his retirement from accounting in 1997, he served five years as Treasurer of the Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church (Aurora), the Hillforest Historical Foundation, St. Mary's School (Aurora) or St. Lawrence School (Lawrenceburg).
