Published in the Ellinwood, KS - Leader August 10, 2000 Josephine M. Young Josephine M. Young, retired nurse's aide at the District Hospital, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at her home in Lyons at the age of 80. Born September 9, 1919, in Hartford to Eddie and Lora Wilson Sutton, she married Daniel B. Young on March 14, 1938, in Emporia. He died May 29, 1995. Mrs. Young had lived in Lyons since 1956. Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Ellen Young of Isabel, Gene and Beverly Young of Greensburg, Gary and Joyce Young of Ft. Gibson, Miss., and Rick Young of Lyons; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jess Perry of Slidell, La.; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Young of Chase; three sisters, Gladys Nemnich of Ellinwood and Vera Renchler and Helen Elmore of Topeka, 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Young; an infant daughter; three brothers, John, Earl and Ernest Sutton; a sister, Margaret Bazil; and a grandson, Joseph Young. The Rev. Robert Friesen conducted services Thursday, Aug. 3, in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
