FYI- The two Dutch Wars with England which involved New Amsterdam, later New York, were 1652-54 and 1664-67. The Dutch colony of New Netherland under Dutch rule was from 1626-1664. The Trail of Tears began in 1838 when the Cherokee people were rounded up and deported from TN, NC, GA, and AL. They had already been expelled from SC in 1818-1819. D. Ridder
