Western Ilinois, where my line first immigrated into the Midwest, about 1800-20, will develop many names connected to Indians My father always proudly claimed Cherokee blood--since his grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. Her husband, my ggfather left for St. Louis about 1840-60 and was either hijacked and left in the Illinois River or found other things to do. I have found reference to her, in a Cherokee heritage book. and can cite that source. Any help welcomed. vern
