    3. Obituary "The Daily Banner" Mt. Vernon, Ohio 12/14/1908 Richared Sutton died at the family home on West Sugar street, at six thirty o'clock, Sunday evening, death being caused by a complication of diseases. The deceased was sixty-four years of age and a veteran of the Civil War. He enlisted September 11th, 1862 as a private in Co. G, 121st Regiment, Ohio Volunteers and mustered out with the regiment at Washington, D.C., and discharged at Camp Chase, June 8th, 1865. His birthplace was England. Besides his wife, two daughters, five sons, two brothers, two sisters and eleven grandchildren survive. They are Mrs Ada Forsythe of Marion, Mrs. Anna Roedell of Columbus, the daughters; Banning, Richard, William and John of Mt. Vernon and Sylvester of Columbus, the sons; Thomas Sutton of Mt. Vernon and George Sutton of Nebraska are the brothers; Mrs. Susan Kay and Mrs. Pauline Washburn of Nebraska are the sisters. The funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Protestant church, conducted by thepastor, Rev. J.T. Black, assisted by Joe Hooker Post G.A.R. All assembled at the curch at 1:45 o'clock with badges.
