Published in the Topeka, KS - Capital Journal 2002-5-14 MANHATTAN (KS) -- Services will be at 2pm Wednesday at the Manhattan Baptist Church for Mary K KUBIN, 52, Manhattan, who died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at a Manhattan hospital. She had been ill. She was born Aug 14, 1949, in Ottawa (KS), to James L and Deloris M FANNING SUTTON. She spent her early life in Waverly (KS) and graduated from Waverly High School. She lived in the Emporia (KS) and Olpe (KS) communities before she moved to Manhattan in 1977. She was a teacher at the Manhattan Baptist Temple Christian School for many years. She was a member of the Manhattan Baptist Church. She married Dean E KUBIN on Nov 5, 1969, in Emporia. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert D KUBIN, Manhattan; two daughters, Shari L CATLIN and Kendra D KUBIN, both in Springfield MO; four brothers, Leon J SUTTON, Waverly, Kenneth D SUTTON, O'Fallon MO; James DVORAK, Wichita (KS); and Gerald McNULTY, Lebo (KS); two sisters, Reva J VSETECKA, Great bend (KS), and Therese DEANER, Waverly; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 9pm today at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home in Manhattan.
