Published in the New Bern, NC - Sun Journal September 28, 2004 LEESBURG, FL -- Conrad Cecil Sutton, 85, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004. He was a native of Vanceboro. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea and retired as a Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He attended William and Mary College and was a member of the Alumnae Association. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. He is survived by his widow, Jacquelyn B. Sutton of Leesburg, Fla.; three sisters, Minnie Speight of Ocala, Fla., Sarah Tripp of New Bern and Jewel Dean Hogan of Hamstead; and one brother, James M. Sutton of New Bern.
