Published in the New Bern, NC - Sun Journal August 4, 2004 Joyce Sutton Fiste, 57, of Havelock, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern. Mrs. Fiste was retired with Civil Service at Cherry Point and an active member of Newport VFW Women's Auxiliary. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Albertson with Rev. Jim Durner officiating. She is survived by a son, Dr. Barry Workman, M.D. of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Mavis Smith of Deep Run, Patsy Lee of Kinston and Jan Durner of Havelock; one brother, Travis Sutton of Greenville, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
