Published in the Madison, WI - Wisconsin State Journal 9 Sep 2004 Sutton, Alice E. COLUMBUS/ MADISON/ RENO, NEV. - Alice E. Sutton, age 67, of Reno Nev., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 8 2004, at her mother's home, in Columbus. She was born on June 23 1937, in Elkhorn to Harvey and Elizabeth (Everett) Sutton. Alice graduated from Columbus High School in 1955, and from UW-Whitewater in 1959. She taught high school in Wheaton, Ill., and Baraboo. She then worked for several office furniture companies before opening her own store, A.E. Sutton Ltd., Madison. For the past four years, Alice lived in Reno, Nev., with her long-time companion, John R. Sumnicht. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Sutton of Columbus; two brothers, William (Sandy) of Columbus, and Robert (Jackie) of DeForest; many nieces; nephews; several aunts; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, in 1985, and a brother, John, in 1964. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 11, 2004, at the JONES-JENSEN FUNERAL HOME, Columbus. The Rev. Bruce Hennington will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
