Published in the Merrillville, IN - Post-Tribune 8/31/2004 JOHN HENRY SUTTON, JR. Age 55, of Gary, IN, passed away Friday, August 27, 2004. He graduated from Roosevelt High School. John was an employee of U.S. Steel Corp. with 36 years of service and veteran of the U.S. Army for 6 years. He also enjoyed playing chess, shooting pool, and fine automobiles. Preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Sr. and Rosie Lee Sutton. John leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 34 years, Rosa Lee; 9 children, Anthony (Lori), Julius, Juan, Kunta Nora, Anton (Tish), Senequoa, Trever, Anitra (Charles), and Wanda (Scottie Carter); brothers and sisters, Emerson Sutton, Donald (Sandra), Kenneth (Connie), Michael, Elliott (Veronica), Darryl (Dee), Levi (Cathy), Patricia (Edward), Portia, Tonia, Lisa (Erwin), Alice and Barbara Cage; special aunt, Rebecca Sutton Reed; special friends, Robert Evans (Boogie) and Hubert McGhee (Bubba); and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
