Published in the Oklahoma City, OK - Daily Oklahoman August 9 Jewell Irene Gray, 88, passed from this life on Saturday August 7, 2004. She was born March 28, 1916 at Morrilton, Arkansas, the daughter of Dee and Maude (Ship) Sutton. Jewell married John M. Gray and together they raised their family. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John M. Gray, her son Carrel D. Gray and her sister Mamie Pruitt. She is survived by her son Paul Gray of Shawnee, OK; brothers, Earl Sutton and wife Evvie of Arkansas and Bill D. Sutton and wife Rose of Arkansas; sisters, Lois Pruitt of Arkansas and Ethel Fellers of California; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at the City of Moore Cemetery. Danny Clemmer Clemmer.org
