Published in the Lansing, MI - State Journal 30 August, 2004 Sutton, Donald E. Lansing, MI Age 75, passed away quietly at home on Saturday, August 28, 2004 following a short illness. He was born April 14, 1929 in Hammond, IN the son of Kenneth and Irma (Black) Sutton. Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Yvonne Springer; brother, Dwain Sutton; and grandson, Stephen Hicks. He is survived by: wife, Joanna (Struble) Sutton; children, Mary Hicks, Lee (Christine) Sutton, Barbara Sutton, and John Sutton; grandchildren, Tami, Danielle, Nichole, Jason, Marley, Bret, Derrick (Lisa) and Lonnie (Jessica); great grandchildren, Rachel (father, Terry), Kyle, Ryan, Kylie, Destiny, Jersey, Shai An and Kaycee. Mr. Sutton was proud of his service in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He enjoyed camping, hunting and bowling with longtime friends, whom know who they are. The family wishes to extend many thanks to special friends Bill and Sue Flynn, a special thank you to Cornerstone Family Practice and Dr. Jon Paget as well as Kathy, his home health care nurse and all of the caring people who made his last weeks with us a lot easier. The family is honoring Mr. Sutton's wishes and therefore no services will be held. They just ask that you remember him for his great sense of humor and his love of family and friends.
