    3. Published in the Beaumont, TX - Enterprise July 29, 2004 Violene Sutton, 83, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral services will take place Friday, July 30, 2004 at 2:00pm at The Sabine Tabernacle Church in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, TX. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm 8:00 pm Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A native of Rockland, TX she was the oldest of six children. As the oldest child, she had a strong desire for the well being of her younger siblings and contributed throughout her life to seeing that any of their needs were met. She had lived in Beaumont for over 50 years. During her life she had worked as a beautician in her own beauty shop, in the credit department for Sears and Roebuck department store and as a homemaker. She was a faithful and devoted member of The Sabine Tabernacle for over 50 years where she taught Mrs. Hodges's Sunday School class for 22 of those years, along with helping in many aspects of church life. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Sutton Sr., and is survived by one son: Robert W. Sutton Jr and wife Brenda of Beaumont, two grandchildren, Robert W Sutton III and Amy E. Sutton both of Beaumont,: Two brothers: Jack B. Worthy and wife Kathryn, F.D."Dick" Worthy and wife Theolyn.; Three sisters: Aliece Monk, Jean Baxter and husband Jack, and Paula Hilton and husband Rev. Herbert Hilton, all of Beaumont; one sister in law Clara Sutton of Nacogdoches along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Danny Clemmer Clemmer.org
