Published in the Burlington, IA - Hawk Eye July 8, 2004 Frances Holtkamp Frances Marjorie Holtkamp, 94, of Fort Madison, died at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Fort Madison Community Hospital. Born Jan. 13, 1910, in Janesville, Wis., she was the daughter of Edward C. and Ada E. Sutton Thorn. On Oct. 7, 1946, she married Andrew H. Holtkamp in Fort Madison. He died Feb. 2, 1972. Mrs. Holtkamp farmed with her husband before moving to Fort Madison, where she worked at Place Co. and then Lampe Drug. She was a member of SS. Mary & Joseph Church, Daughters of Isabella and the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Friday at King–Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, with a rosary recited at 3 p.m. and a wake service at 6:30 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Holtkamp will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Parlette officiating, Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in St. Paul. A memorial has been established for Old Settlers Park Association. Danny Clemmer Clemmer.org
