Published in the Ft Lauderdale, FL -Sun Sentinel 2004-8-15 Starka, Hazel (Sutton), 84, of Boca Raton, FL died 8/12/ 04. Hazel was born 10/31/19 in Riverdale, IL to Luther and Toie Sutton. She was the youngest of 7 children and the only one to graduate high school. Hazel went on to enjoy a career with RR Donnelly Publishing Co. in Chicago. She married Robert Starka of Roseland, IL on January 10, 1948. They had 2 daughters Deborah and Pamela. Hazel was very popular and very active with her daughters in Brownies, Girl Scouts, PTA, track meets, fashion shows, and church activities, and quilting. She became a member of OES in Country Club Hills, IL and served as Worthy Matron and Star Points in IL and FL. She and Robert retired to FL in 1988 where she stayed active in Scouts and OES. She is survived by daughters Deborah and Pamela, sister Thelma, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the Chicago area. Private services were held. Hazel's wishes to donate her body to science were honored by giving her to the U. of Miami School of Medicine. Pam and Debbie are so proud and thankful to have had a mother with such a good, kind, and gentle nature. Sincerest gratitude to Dr. Nicolas Breuer & staff, Felechia, Mercedes and Hospice of P.B.
