Published in the Sarnia, ON CAN - Observer 2002-4-18 SUTTON Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Sarnia General Hospital, after a brave fight against cancer, CLARE LAVERNE SUTTON, of 4381 Lakeshore Rd., RR #5 Forest, on Wednesday, April 17, 2002. Dear husband of Margaret (Steele) Sutton. Loving father of April and Ross Helps of Corunna, Kerry and Janet Sutton and Frank and Toni Backx all of RR #5 Forest, Clare and Kim Sutton of RR #1 Camlachie, Son-in-law Bruce Smith of Sarnia and brother-in-law to Marie Sutton, Sarnia and Jim and Nancy Steele of Brights Grove. Predeceased by a daughter Beverly (1997) and brother Keith (1977). Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Clare was in the Navy involved in active duty in WWII and spent 45 years at Polysar retiring in 1990. He played on the Sarnia Imperial Football Club and was a coach for Sarnia Minor Football for several years. Clare was a devoted family man and an enthusiastic local sports fan. Aged 76 years. Resting at RONN E. DODGE FUNERAL HOME, McFARLANE CHAPEL, 9 James St. E. at Watt St., (Forest.) Lambton Shores where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Townsend-Smith. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. Visitation on Friday, April 19, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Community Concerns for the Medically Fragile, P.O.
