Am looking for ancestors of Rose May Sutton who was born May 25, 1886 in Indiana and married Reuben Benton Barnes. She died In Indianapolis, Sept 8, 1930. Her parents, according to the death certificate were Will Sutton and Ella Green of Indiana. She had a brother Joseph Sutton who married and divorced and a sister Bertha who married an Ellerkamp. There was/is a cousin, Mildred Neiman who was secretary of the Sutton Family reunion in Indianapolis. She had a brother Chott and their mother was "Aunt Onie". Thank you for any help. Kat Collins
My sincere apologies if this does not apply to you. This past week my sister who is 40 years of age has been diagnosed with a progressive eye disease called Stargaard's(sic) myopathy. My father too has had this malady for years. In my Sutton research I have been noticing in the past few years some similar vision problems listed by various Suttons and relatives dating back several generations. I am attempting to come up with some sort of number living or deceased relatives that may have had this genetic disorder. My eventual hope is to present some sort of report to the Vision Research folks at the University of Wis - Madison. Hopefully, a student doctor, orginization, or future eye specialist will perhaps take an interest and research this Sutton centered issue in more depth. Physiologically what occurs is the membranes that contain vitreous humor(eye fluid) deteriorate and leak. The leaking fluid forms pools which pressures other parts of the eye causing eventual blindness. Therefore, if you Suttons could forward any reports to me (no names if you wish) kin who had deteriorating eye conditions similar to what I described, both my offspring and I would be eternally grateful. Hopefully this could generate interest in research and perhaps an eventual cure. Just so you are aware, this appears to have occurred in lines from Eng/Ire so perhaps all Suttons in the US(Midwestern, eastern and southern could have been affected). My thanks for your time and again my apologies if this does not apply to you. Should you want /need more info please inquire. Sincerely, Bob Sutton Wisconsin FAMILY FARMERS ARE THE BACKBONE OF AMERICA.
