Published in the Wooster, OH - Daily Record April 7, 2002 Wilma Hackett APPLE CREEK -- Wilma I. Hackett, 84, 3430 South Carr Road, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her home. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Apple Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Oehl officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the McIntire, David & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apple Creek United Methodist Church, 269 West Main Street, Apple Creek 44606 in her memory. She was born Oct. 27, 1917, in Belmont County to Rodney and Lena (Henderson) Sutton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church. She was very active in many church activities and belonged to the United Methodist Woman. Surviving are her husband, George S. Hackett, whom she married Oct. 27, 1939; her children, Barbara (Chuck) Hamilton of Van Nuys, California, Dr. Robert (Nancy) Hackett of Grand Junction, Colorado and Richard (Diane) Hackett of Wooster; seven grandchildren, and a brother, Ralph (Clara) Sutton of Apple Creek.
