Published in the Morganton, NC - Herald News June 5, 2002 Irvin Edwin Hall VALDESE Ñ Mr. Irvin Edwin Hall, 58, of Lydia Avenue, died June 3, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hall was born on June 1, 1944, in Bryson City, to the late Napolian Hall and Harriett Sutton Hall. He has been a resident of Burke County for the last 40 years, and was a former member of the rescue squad and a volunteer fireman. He was preceded in death by three brothers, R.L. Johnson, Eugene Sutton of Bryson City and E.M. Sutton of Bend, Ore. Survivors include: his wife, Katie Mae Hall of the home; sons, Ronnie Hall and David Hall, both of Valdese; a daughter, Donna Miller of Homer, Mich.; brothers, J.B. Johnson, Gary Johnson and Marvin Johnson, all of Marion, Billy Johnson and Jimmy Johnson, both of Gastonia; sisters, Janice Proctor of Marion, Betty Ball of Bryson City, Mary Johnson of Cherokee, and Lillie Ramsey and Edith Smith, both of Marion; grandsons Edwin Miller of Homer, Mich., and Cody Wyatt of Valdese Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Hospice-Shytle House, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, with the Rev. Henry Bingham officiating. The family will receive friends today from 2 until 8 p.m. at the residence, 1500 Lydia Ave., Valdese. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Burke County, P.O.
