    3. Dear Donna Lynn; I too have been searching for a SUTTON for the last 20+ years. I have run across one Sutton who is not in my line . . . although who knows for sure. Her name was Annie L. SUTTON and is buried in the Rodgers Cemetery. Location: T4 - R5 - S16. Abandoned cemetery located less than a mile south of Wakefield off the east side of the road. Wakefield is in Marshall County in the northern part of MS. The headstone reads: Annie L. Sutton, 21 Feb 1830 - 1 Mar 1854 born Caroline Co., VA. wife of A. L. Rodgers. A.L. Rodgers was Abner L. Rodgers and he and Annie were married 2 Sep 1855 in Lauderdale County, TN. (I don't think that the headstone was read correctly, she couldn't have died before she was married) Also too, A.L. Rodgers is not in the cemetery, so he may have moved on and married someone else. Consider "this" information part of your "process of elimination". Sutton's are plentiful in AR though. Yours may have moved in that direction. Good Luck with your research . . . Lynn RODGERS Hudson GGranddaughter of Ella Sutton and John Wood RODGERS of Mahon Station, Marshall, MS.
