Published in the Asheville, NC - Citizen-Times June 10, 2002 LUCY H. SUTTON CANDLER - Lucy Geneva Hunter Sutton, 72, of 595 Milk Sick Cove Road, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Sutton was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Jarvis and Katherine Connard Hunter. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Franklin and Helen Goforth. She was retired from American Enka. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence H. Sutton; four daughters, Elizabeth Brocklesby, Brenda Norman, Robin Denning and Sandra Gragg; four sisters, Leona Burrell, Ruth Ballew, Viola Hunter and Voneta Stillwell; one brother, Doug Hunter; 12 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. The graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
