Published in the Nevada, IA - Journal January 31, 2002 Georgia Alberta Sesker June 4, 1915, to Jan. 26, 2002 Georgia Alberta Sesker, 86, of rural Cambridge, died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames from complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was born June 4, 1915, in Boone to Joseph Albert and Doretta (Coffman) Sutton. She was a graduate of Cambridge High School. She married Kahl John Sesker on Aug. 16, 1932. She was a member of the Cambridge United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Cambridge Garden Club. She was treasurer of Mission Ridge School Board for many years. She loved flower gardening, playing the organ, writing poetry, sketching and family genealogy. Survivors include a son, Larry Sesker of Des Moines; four daughters, Vivian Sesker of Cambridge, Dorothy Berhow of Ames, Nancy Schwab and Linda Sheldahl, both of Ankeny; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Marjorie Birkestrand of Story City, Pauline Taber and Maxine Fogle, both of Roseville, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Cambridge United Methodist Church.
