Published in the Vineland, NJ - Times Journal June 24, 2002 Mary Hess, 81 Retired from Wheaton Glass Co. Art Department Mary E. Hess, 81, of Leesburg died Saturday, June 22, 2002, in Burdette Tomlin Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Leesburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Leslie and Matilda Chance Sutton and the wife of the late Arthur Hess. She was a lifelong Leesburg resident. She retired after 32 years with Wheaton Glass Co., where she worked in the art department. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Rafine of Dorchester and Joyce Novakowski of Leesburg; two sisters, Claire Morgan of Leesburg and Daisy Rifon of Willingboro; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11am Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Homes, 643 Main St, Leesburg. Interment will be in Leesburg Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Thursday.
