Published in the Kitchener,ON CAN - Kitchener-Waterloo Record 2004-6-26 SUTTON, Jack - Passed away suddenly in his 88th year. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 1994. Father to John and Fred Sutton of Cambridge and father-in-law to Paola and Annie. Proud Grampa of Jason, Brant, Cassy, Amanda and Marc. Jack served as an Engineering Officer with the Royal Navy during World War Two. He was a 53 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Galt Branch 121) and was a past president as well as serving for many years on the executive committee. He was also a member of the Royal Naval Association. Jack was an active member of the Masonic Lodge having served in the Grand Lodge as a Grand Registrar as well as being active in the Cambridge Shrine Club. After his retirement from facilities and planning at McMaster University, Jack's true love was serving as a school crossing guard and will be sadly missed by all the children that knew him. Jack will be resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Saturday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion (Galt Branch 121) will be held at the funeral home chapel on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
