Published in the Brooklyn MI - Exponent 2002-6-25 Virginia M. Sutton Virginia M. Sutton, age 74, passed away June 23, 2002. Virginia was born August 8, 1927 in Norvell Township, the daughter of Herbert and Minnie (Schaufle) Bertke. She married Donald K. Sutton, former owner of the Sutton Agency in Manchester, on January 30, 1947, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1992. Mrs. Sutton was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ and the American Legion Post #117 Auxiliary, both in Manchester. Virginia is survived by her brother, Robert (Dorothy) Bertke of Brooklyn; nieces and nephews; and her dog and companion, Nicole. Besides her husband, one sister preceded Virginia in death. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with funeral services on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Jenter & Braun Funeral Home, Manchester Chapel, with Pastor Jeffery Davis officiating.
