I am searching for a Civil War listing for a John Alexander Sutton, born 2/8/1818, died 6/13/1880 to establish my being able to join the Daughers of the American Confederacy, any help on where to look on the computer would be appreciated. His widow was Mary Caroline Law, who apparently filed for pension, but I cannot find proof that she received pension.Thank you. Dixie Sutton Witt
