My Suttons were in Wilkes County, GA in the late 1700's(originally from the Carolinas-it is said) and onto MS in the early 1800s(Lawrence county area).My earliest confirmed ancestor is William Sutton. There is dispute as to if his father is a John Sutton or a Shadrack Sutton. My William died in MS in 1827. Kathy in CA
