The Leavenworth Advertiser December 29, 1899 Mrs. Emma Sutton, widow of former city detective George S. Sutton, died at her home, Fifth and Pottowatomie streets at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks with neuralgia of the heart. She leaves two children, Nellie age 8 and Roy, age, also a stepson, Henry Sutton who is in Colorado.(Emily "Emma Preston"Sutton died Dec 26, 1899 December 2004 - Emma is buried at Mt Muncie Cemetery in Leavenworth, Ks Does any Sutton out there know of Henry Sutton. Of coincidence Nellie and her husband were in Meeker Colorado in 1910 for the birth of their first child - but I did not find a Henry Sutton in census there.
